Gambling Disorder is a significant public health concern that affects about 2-3% of the general public. The disorder has a significant negative impact on the affected individuals, their families, and communities. The harms and negative consequences associated with gambling problems are numerous and include damage to finances, employment, relationships, and well-being. We developed a mHealth app, called Don’t Go There, to help individuals with gambling disorder. The app raises an alarm if the user goes near a favored gambling venue. Complete this survey in order to participate in the study.
Don't Go There will track your location and when you approach a specific critical place such as a casino, the app will alert you.
Don't Go There app will give you alert when you're near a critical place.
Don't Go There will let you customize your alerts. You can use audio alert such as a voice of your loved ones.
Don't Go There provides two different users usage, a manager and a user. Both users and managers to access their accounts have to authenticate through a login form, which is the first screen of the app
A manager (e.g., a doctor) can see his current users (e.g., patients with GD) or add new ones. For each user, the manager can see and manage his/her statistics, critical destinations, whitelist destinations, and contacts.
all the critical places of the current user are shown on a map by red markers. By pressing the List View button, the app will move to the activity where the critical places are listed (and their addresses are shown)
A manager can set the geofence radius (expressed in miles) for a selected user.
